Dr. Prashanth Kumar M is one of the best cardiologist in Hubli, Karnataka.
Having nearly 11 years of experience in interventional Cardiology and Imaging.
He has been best outgoing student from his school days extending to college to
post graduation. He has completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical
College, Belgaum, MD In General Medicine From Vijayanagar Institute of Medical
Sciences (VIMS- Govt. Medical College), Bellary and done his DM Cardiology from
Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore by
securing seat in DM cardiology in general merit through All India Entrance
Examination conducted by SJICR, Bangalore. Dr. Prashanth Kumar M is working as
an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiology in KIMS- Hubli. He also
has his own centre: “Hrudaya Superspeciality Heart Care Clinic” in Club Road,
Hubli.
Dr. Prashanth Kumar M worked as Senior Resident in the Department of
Medicine at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical and Sciences, Bellary. Later worked
as a Registrar in the department of Cardiology at Apollo Hospital, Bangalore.
After that Dr. Prashanth Kumar M worked as an Assistant Professor at Kasturba
Medical College, Manipal.
Later Dr. Prashanth Kumar M Joined Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences
and Research, Bangalore as Senior Resident in Department of Cardiology. It is a
tertiary care autonomous institute run by the Government of Karnataka, in Bengaluru.
At the Bengaluru campus, it presently has 1150 in-patient beds spread over two twin
eight story buildings and is considered one of the largest dedicated heart hospitals
in Asia. The hospital caters to approximately 165,000 patients a year and is
considered to be the best cardiology set up in India and Asia and the super
specialty training program is considered to be one of the best in India at par with
AIIMS cardiology.
Dr Prashanth Kumar M is a consultant Cardiologist at most of the leading
hospitals in Hubli and does his Interventions like Coronary Angiography,
Angioplasty, Pacemaker Implantation at KLE’s Suchirayu Hospital, Tatwadarsha
Hospital, Vivekananda General Hospital, City Clinic Hubli. He firmly believes in
Hippocratic Oath which states “Primum non-nocere”, meaning “do no harm”. And
practices strictly ethically with the interest of the patient in mind.
His Research work has been published in renowned and prestigious National
and International Journals and Publications. He is a good Orator and regularly
involves himself in conferences, CME’s, Webinars and teaching programs. Dr.
Prashanth Kumar M is also working as Principal and Co investigator in several
clinical trials, funded by ICMR and other major research organisations.
